You should just provide a valid reason for your case for the senator to help. All senators have direct lines to immigration offices. They can expedite your case and the results are astonishing.
My cousin left to india for an emergency and his AP was pending. Contacted senator and got it approved immediately in a day.
I also heard that one person got his 140 approved in a week. Not sure what reason he provided.
But senators are certainly helpful unlike Indian politicians.

This question is implying that the stay for the children to go to school in canada would only be a month or so, not more than six months - so does anyone know if there's a risk in messing up the green cards while the family waits a month in canada while waiting for the next destination.

I'll give you a honest answer. Consult an attorney and find a fool proof step, if there is one. Although, I'm inclined to say, stay F1 and bring her as F4. You need much more than that.

yes, 485 processing and 140 processing is different. They are joined thread, So they will not approve 485 until your 140 is approved.
Thanks Marphad. BTW, do you have any idea what could they possibly ask for 485. I provided everything they've asked for when I first filed the case. If not, I guess I'll find out in a few days.....

Politico reports that he is in favor of a legalization program that will allow "citizen boards" (similar to the draft boards of an earlier era) to determine whether undocumented immigrants deserve to stay in the US. He explicitly rejected a path to legalization. I got hold of a copy of the actual RFE and when I read closely, the above statement sounded alarming. Since the labor was filed in 2003, I was wondering what relevance June 26, 2006 has.
Any help is appreciated.

Hi,
I need suggestion on travel.
I have applied AP for my wife on April 16 and still waiting. We have expiated her AP last week, still no updates. She has an emergency travel on June 20th. Her previous AP is valid till June 24th.
Can she travel out side on June 20th and come back with new AP when approved (I can mail her the new one once approved) or dose she needs to be in US until the new AP is approved?
As the old AP is valid till June 24th, dost it mean that they will approve the new one only after June 24th?
As this is an emergency I need your suggestion please...

Thanks for your reponse Panky... I filed my I-140 cocurrently with I-485 with NSC but it got transfered to CSC ...CSC is not even publishing I-140 processing dates.. Wondering if CSC is processing I-140's... I believe that NSC and TSC has sole jursidication over I-140 adjudication.

India has expressed its concern to the Chinese government over Beijing issuing visas on a separate sheet of paper to Indian nationals from Jammu and Kashmir instead of stamping them in their passports. Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), India strongly believes this, as a well-thought-out strategy to question the status of its state Jammu and Kashmir. It has been issuing visas stapled to passports to people from Arunachal Pradesh who have traveled to China since 2007.
MEA spokesperson Vishnu Prakash says �We have conveyed our concern to the Chinese government in this regard. It is our considered view and position that there should be no discrimination against visa applicants of Indian nationality on grounds of domicile or ethnicity.�
It�s not clear when the Chinese started issuing visas on a separate sheet of paper to Indian travelers of Kashmir. The matter came to light when immigration authorities at New Delhi International Airport, India turned away Kashmiris carrying the standalone visas, assuming they were fakes. The Chinese embassy however issued letters confirming that it had issued valid visas. The matter was then brought to MEA�s notice, prompting it to take up the issue with Beijing. Immigration authorities have been directed to treat the standalone visas as invalid.
This is just to brought some Immigration development in other parts of world. We strongly belief that both the Asian neighbors will resolve such issues amicably soon.

My Son is in India and will be traveling back to US on 1st September 2009 and His passport validity expires on 28th February 2010. Is it necessary for us to renew his passport while he is in India it self for him to enter into US?

As per VB:
The cut-off date for an oversubscribed category is the priority date of the first applicant who could not be reached within the numerical limits. Only applicants who have a priority date earlier than the cut-off date may be allotted a number.
They stress and bolded "Earlier Than" so i am not IN???? :confused::confused::(:(
