Well anyone with a G5 or Mac Pro should not even question the upgrade as it brings a full 64bit OS to your machine. Couple that with point upgrades to applications to 64bit and you have some massive memory enhancements.

Ugh, I finally caught up with the latest firmware version while jailbroken last week, and then this is released. I wouldn't have a problem with it if I didn't suffer from the Facetime glitchiness that I'm now experiencing on 4.3.1.

I've lost a bit. :( actually quite a lot. I bought at around 170ish a while ago in prepare for the surge of macworld like last year but am at a bit of a loss right now. I think my avatar shows my recent mood.
You haven't lost a cent, until you actually sell off your stocks. I'll be holding on to mine until they climb back up and beyond. Besides, having another rate cut is around the corner - this may happen sooner than you think.

I agree with the animation glitches. For the 5 minutes I've had it on my iPhone (Did a restore, instead of upgrade), haven't noticed animation glitches like I did with 4.3 and 4.3.1, so I would say that it's a safe bet to upgrade it. Everything seems to be a lot more fluid this time around. Hope that helps. Enjoy!

Exactly in the same boat except my 3G has a shattered screen with bits of glass that has fallen off. It has gone through hell and back but, I decided to wait since June is only a short wait away. Now, supposedly its been pushed back to september and I am planning on getting a new phone in either june or july since I will have some extra cash and can move to verizon on a family plan. I dont want to get the 4 when the new one is right around the corner. So, this pushing back to september means I'll probably move to the Droid. Hopefully the announcement is still in june and these rumors are just to throw us off since the last iPhone announcement wasnt very exciting since we all knew what was coming.

Seemingly the US Store is the only one to feature the Wireless Mighty Mouse so far, my Credit Card is quivering in fear of the UK Store being updated :p

I have to wonder how many people discussing audio quality buy their movies from iTunes vs Blu-Ray.
Just asking since apparently those people are so concerned with getting optimal performance from their media.
Not to take this off topic - but too many people have been duped by all the streaming serves and cable companies to believe they're getting a true HD experience when, in fact, they aren't because of the astronomical bitrate difference between what can be streamed vs delivered by hard media at current.
Not me. Most movie viewing comes from my collection or from Netflix. Netflix BDs in the mail, that is. And over half of the reasoning for that is the audio. I had great audio before great video.
Currently trying to decide how to begin purchasing music again. I've been out of the market for years, except for a couple CDs here and there and about 6 downloads, ever. Should I hunt down 24/96? Should I upgrade my TT and focus on vinyl? Or is CD going to have to be good enough? Possibly even some downloads for the kids' stuff to save cash.

it's been a very painful 10 months, but now that i've waited this long, i'm trying to be strong and hold out for the iphone 5. i wish i knew whether it was coming out in june or september. if september for sure, i would just get the iphone 4.. argh.

I know this does not have much to do with anything in this thread. I have heard Gates owns a some shares of Apple and was wondering how many or what percentage he owns. You're kidding, right? They'll play this game in court but Apple has a metric s--t ton of money just sitting in the bank. And when they want parts and approach Samsung for them, Samsung won't react like, "No way dude, you were mean." They'll see billions of dollars being offered their way and they'll take it, because this is business. There are other companies that supply these parts too, not just Samsung. Let me clarify that in no way am I saying everything Apple does is perfect and Samsung should feel privileged to do business with them, and as far as who copied who goes is not part of my argument (I love both Apple and Samsung), but please don't kid yourself if you think a lawsuit will stand in the way of making a crap ton of money.

my fear is the democrats will try to use this a political gain and that is so very wrong both to the military and for this good event.
It turns a great event into worthless BS. It was just luck of the draw that a Dem was in power when this happen and it was only a matter of time. I already am watching some people try to turn it into political gain and it makes me sick.
